Representation:
  • When women were held back while the men went out to war they needed people to tend to the farms and help out with manual labour.
  • They made pictures with in the style that they used to recruit men to join the army
  • In the post-war picture they make a women look powerful, independent and strong
  • The use of a red headscarf is to cover the hair of the women to make them look more ready to work as their hairs not in the way.
